Shakespeare Carnival

Location: Instrumental Room, The Iona Performing Arts Centre (11.0.5)

Year Levels: Year 7, Year 8, Year 9, Year 10, Year 11, Year 12

Description:

Students from Years 7 to 12 are invited to join our Shakespeare Carnival group. It's open to everyone who wants to explore the world of Shakespeare and take part in some friendly competition. The Shakespeare Carnival is a fantastic opportunity for students to challenge themselves, learn new ideas, gain confidence, and improve literacy while bringing Shakespeare’s inspiring characters to life.

The competition begins with the In-School Competition in April. Selected performances will then move on to the Regional Carnival in May. For those who advance further, the Statewide Finals will be held in Sydney from 20-21 June, where students will have the chance to work with professional artists on their pieces and perform them at the Seymour Centre. Families will need to arrange their own accommodation and transport for this final stage.

Please note that this activity is only offered up until the finals in June.
